As our state and local officials begin to re-open businesses, we at Stumpy’s Hatchet House want you to know your safety has ALWAYS been our first priority! As we are all learning how to live this “new normal” we want you to know we’ve put the following policies in place so that everyone can come out, have fun and begin to enjoy life again with a #safesocialthrowdown.
- We’re only using 6 of our 10 pits, allowing for a minimum of 10 feet of social distancing between groups!
- Before starting their shift, employees have temperatures taken
- All employees will wear face masks
- All waiver devices, pits, hatchets, bells and all surfaces will be sanitized before and after each use

How to Get the Party Started
Now that hatchet throwing sounds like fun, it’s time to get your group together and come up with some good dates and times to enjoy it. As the first indoor hatchet throwing venue in the United States, we pride ourselves on offering an alternative form of recreation. Axe throwing is a primitive and organic sport. Getting Ready to Throw Some Hatchets
We want you to know what you can expect when you join us for a hatchet hurling party. There’s no need to dress up because comfortable clothing is encouraged for this physical activity. Open-toed shoes like sandals and flip-flops are not permitted at Stumpy’s. Once you arrive, you’ll have a short training session, so you know how to stay safe and throw your hatchet like a real lumberjack. Depending on the size of your group, you’ll probably have a one- or two-hour axe throwing session in our pits. We’re here to help you stay safe and answer any questions you might have.
